According to a source, the New England Patriots aren't planning to have quarterback Tom Brady play in Thursday night's preseason opener against the Green Bay Packers. While there's an outside possibility those plans could shift, the plans for now call for Jimmy Garoppolo to start, with Ryan Lindley -- signed to a one-year contract on Monday -- serving as the primary backup. Brady wasn't present for practice on Tuesday as he prepared for Wednesday's settlement conference in the U.S.
